  Prerequisites

STT is written in Perl. STT was written on a Linux system but should be usable on any system with Perl 5 or higher.

STT is a command-line tool; to use STT comfortably you should have some familiarity with the unix or ms-dos command shell.

STT is free software and is available under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

Obtaining STT

You can download STT here.

Installing STT

STT is a self-contained Perl script. Once you have unpacked the source distribution file you can run it from the directory where you unpacked it. If you want to install it on your system then type

./configure
make install
which will install stt in /usr/local/bin, by default. If you want to install it somewhere else, read the instructions in the file INSTALL in the distribution directory
